Sister India partners with local Indian leaders and teachers to deliver a transformational program for women and girls.
Classes go beyond reading and writing to include:
Basic math
Business and financial skills (savings, starting microbusinesses)
Health, sanitation, and nutrition
How to honor the girl child and end the harmful practices of child marriage, child labor, and trafficking
These classes also teach the value of daughters as equal with sons, and how to stop child marriage and recognize traffickers.
Through increased incomes, families end their reliance on child labor and resist the terrible financial pressure to traffic their own children.
